Rebuilding Your Summer Body Ed 3

Minimally Invasive Treatments

So here we are, back again to discuss the last edition of our series on ‘Rebuilding Your Summer Body’. As much as the blogs helped to educate you and provide you with solutions, writing this series has also helped me. It was a good reminder that you and I are important and that we should value and look after ourselves.

When it comes to stubborn areas that just won’t budge or sagging skin that just won’t stay tucked in your pants, we might be able to help you improve your concern. One of our doctors can assess you to see if she can help you to achieve fat reduction, body contouring and skin tightening with our minimally invasive laser assisted liposuction through the use of our BodyTite™ or Ultra-Z™ machines.

What You Need to Know About the Treatments

BodyTite™ and Ultra-Z™ can treat unwanted, stubborn fat pockets and areas of slack skin that are usually non-responsive to diet and exercise. Sounds fantastic, right?! It is meant to be a once-off treatment for the area being treated. However, bad lifestyle, diet and medical conditions can have an impact on the longevity of the results. A maximum of 3 areas are treated per procedure. It is advisable that an interval of 4 to 6 weeks is kept between procedures, should you wish to treat additional areas.

BodyTite™ is a revolutionary device that uses patented radiofrequency assisted liposuction (RFAL™) technology for body contouring and skin tightening. The heat technology performs two tasks. First, it melts the fatty tissue. This ensures that the suctioning is less traumatic to the body and gives a more even result. Second, it stimulates collagen and elastin renewal to decrease the appearance of slack skin and cellulite. The excess fatty solution that is not suctioned will be disposed of by your body’s lymph system.

Ultra-Z™ is a sophisticated and advanced device that uses the latest cavitation and emulsification technology designed to treat areas of fatty pockets commonly found on the abdomen, flanks, inner/thighs and arms etc. It works by expanding the fatty tissue until it can’t absorb more energy, resulting in fat cell implosions. This fatty solution then mixes with the tumescence (numbing fluid) to be suctioned. There is always some solution left within the body but this too, is disposed of through your lymph system.

What’s great about these two treatments is that:

  • There is MINIMAL DOWNTIME (when compared to conventional lipo)
  • It is safer than conventional lipo (as the main danger is general anaesthesia)
  • You obtain smoother results than conventional lipo as the fat is first dissolved and then suctioned

Areas that can be treated with BodyTite™ and Ultra-Z™

The following areas can be treated for fat reduction and skin tightening with the BodyTite™ and Ultra-Z™:

  • Face
  • Chin
  • Arms

What You Need to Do

You will need to come in for an assessment with our Doctor to see if you are a good candidate. Once the assessment is successful and you are eligible for the procedure, you can book your theatre date. The Doctor will explain the procedure to you, show you some before and after pictures of her results and give you pre-care guidelines that you need to follow before coming in on your procedure.

Before and After’s

Upon consultation, the doctor will show you her results of the procedure, especially those pertaining to your areas of interest.

PLEASE NOTE: results will vary per individual, depending (amongst others) on the areas treated, patients’ weight and size prior to the procedure and skin quality.
